Trio of former Raiders to donate brains to CTE research in honor of Ken Stabler

Three of Ken Stabler's former teammates have pledged their brains to CTE research to honor the Raiders legend.

George Atkinson, George Buehler and Art Thoms will donate their brains to Boston’s Concussion Legacy Foundation upon their deaths to further research of repeated blows to the head posed by football and how they contribute to CTE.

Stabler died from colon cancer in July at the age of 69, but Boston researchers studied his brain and found the Super Bowl-winning quarterback suffered from moderate-to-severe CTE.
