Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, when he signed his contract extension worth $76 million for four years, he became the highest-paid tight end in NFL history. That title didn't last long.

The San Francisco 49ers, one of the Cardinals' NFC West rivals, and tight end George Kittle agreed to a deal that tops that.

McBride's extension was four years for $76 million, an average of $19 million per year with $43 million guarantees and $32.5 million guaranteed at signing.
