The Florida Gators begin spring practice Wednesday, but two prominent figures on the team's offense will be missing.
Quarterback Treon Harris and wide receiver Antonio Callaway have not been with the team in two months and will not be practicing, coach Jim McElwain told reporters Tuesday.
“They’re still doing some schoolwork and that kind of stuff, but they haven’t been with us since January,” McElwain said. “You won’t see those guys out there at practice, and that’ll be the last we talk about that.”
Harris struggled last season at quarterback and ultimately fell behind Will Grier on the depth chart.
