IRVING, Texas— Though the Dallas Cowboys have maintained that they are confident in their committee of three running backs, Sunday’s trade for a fourth back – Seattle’s Christine Michael – suggests that they are still looking for options at the position.
As the season opener against the New York Giants nears, no one – not Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden or Lance Dunbar – has emerged as the clear frontrunner to fill the shoes of DeMarco Murray, last year’s NFL-leading rusher who left for Philadelphia.
“We feel good about all those guys,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Monday.
