OTTOVILLE – Columbus Grove’s track-and-field coaches wanted to change up their lineups for Friday’s Putnam County Meet in hopes of maximizing their points.
The result was a Columbus Grove sweep at Ottoville’s Bob Kaple Track and Field Complex.
The Columbus Grove boys’ squad left no doubt.
The Bulldogs ended the night with 179 points, while second-place Pandora-Gilboa scored 103 points. Ottoville (98.50), Leipsic (91), Continental (73.50), Kalida (62), Fort Jennings (18) and Miller City (2) rounded out the eight-team field.
On the girls’ side, Columbus Grove scored 207 points, compared to second-place Kalida’s 164 points.
