Top Duke recruit Harry Giles admitted to some nervousness after making his much-anticipated debut Monday.
The 6-10 freshman forward checked in at 11:27 of the first half with Duke leading 10-8 against Tennessee State.
“I was a little nervous,” a clearly happy Giles said after the game (via the News & Observer). “I felt more nervous, just first-game nervousness and coming back from injury at the same time.”
No wonder. The four minutes he played marked the five-star recruit's first game action in more than a year.
He suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in the first game of his senior year and also underwent arthroscopic surgery in October on his left knee.
