OTTAWA — As much as Brady Tkachuk enjoyed getting his first career hat trick, he felt bad stealing Anton Forsberg’s thunder.
The Ottawa Senators captain had an impressive outing but knew his goaltender deserved just as much credit for the Senators' 4-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday afternoon.
"I didn't know it was (his) first career shutout so that’s probably more exciting,” said Tkachuk. “He's been great for us during this streak and the stretch of wins that we’ve had, he's been holding the fort down and he played awesome again tonight.
