The NFL spring league meeting took place over the last two days, and there are two major takeaways: One, NFL players have been approved to try out and participate in flag football competition at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles; and two, the dreaded 'tush push' play was not banned. I repeat, it was NOT banned. And the Tennessee Titans helped keep it legal.
The Tush Push, made famous and perfected by the Philadelphia Eagles, is a variation of the quarterback sneak. The difference is that running backs and/or tight ends line up behind the quarterback in the sneak formation, and when the ball is snapped, those players give the quarterback an extra push to gain an advantage in fourth-and-short or goal-line stands.
