Not even a personal invitation from Barack Obama was enough to get Tim Duncan to Rio to go to the Olympics.

Duncan, according to former Spurs teammate Bruce Bowen, declined President Obama's invite to join him in Brazil.
"Tim, his legacy is always going to be more of the foundation guy in San Antonio and a guy that wasn't ever concerned with the limelight, but more importantly concerned with others, making sure that they could really reach the most out of their potential,” Bowen, who is in Rio with NBA House, told SI.
