Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias was unapologetic today when he talked to reporters about shoving teammate James McCann in Friday’s 7-2 loss to the Boston Red Sox.
Iglesias didn't speak to the media after Friday’s game and McCann wouldn't explain why the incident occurred in the dugout, saying only: "It's an in-house subject and we got it taken care of."
Iglesias said it wasn’t a big deal.
“Things happen….everybody’s not going to be on the same page, but it’s over with,” he said. “We just gotta play better and win today.”
Asked if something like that can bring a team closer together, Iglesias said: “I don’t know.
