ANAHEIM, CA. — The Detroit Tigers did it again.
Another late-night game on the West Coast. Another late-inning comeback. Another rout, beating the Los Angeles Angels with four homers in the ninth, 9-1.
It all started with Tarik Skubal, who set the stage May 2. The Tigers ace threw six innings, holding the Angels to a single run.
After the Tigers trailed all game — and didn't really put much pressure on the Angels — Trey Sweeney tied it up in the seventh, hitting a homer down the right-field line.
