SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — A familiar name was atop the leaderboard halfway through Thursday’s first round of the 97th edition of the PGA Championship.
In years past the name would have been Tiger Woods.
This year, however, it’s Dustin Johnson.
Johnson, who grabbed the first round lead in the U.S. Open and British Open this year, became the pace-setter once again in a major with a 6-under-par 66 at Whistling Straits.
