So often Tiger Woods’ press conferences are scripted, bland affairs, but the 14-time major champion gave one of his most human answers ever at the Players Championship on Tuesday.
Tiger talked about how tough the month of May is for him on a personal level: His father, Earl Woods, passed away on May 3rd in 2006, and now, he’s dealing with the end of his three-year relationship with Lindsey Vonn.
“This three-day stretch is very tough. I haven’t slept. And with what happened Sunday it’s been brutal.”
Tiger and Vonn announced the end of their relationship in similarly-worded statements on Sunday.
