Thurman Thomas to Have His No. 34 Jersey Retired by Bills

The Buffalo Bills announced Wednesday that they will retire the No. 34 of Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas during the team's Monday Night Football clash with the New England Patriots on Oct. 29.

The Bills confirmed the news on social media:

34. Forever Thurman Thomas. We will retire our Hall of Fame running back’s number at our home Monday Night Football game this season! https://t.co/X5GkS0rwPh

"Thank you, Buffalo Bills. I'm overwhelmed," Thomas wrote on Twitter.

Thomas spent the first 12 seasons of his 13-year career in Buffalo after the franchise selected him in the second round of the 1988 NFL draft.
