“The numbers are all well and good, but you still experience each title win individually. You focus on the current season, on that one season; you're working towards it; that's the league table that counts.
"Whether you were champion three years ago or not is of no interest to anyone anymore. In the Bundesliga, it's all about the title that concerns you most over the course of the year and also influences the atmosphere the most – both internally and externally.
