Pope Leo XIV hails from Chicago, and his White Sox fandom has already been embraced by the franchise in a major way.

Back when he was just Father Bob Prevost, the new pope attended one of Chicago's 2005 World Series games.

To commemorate his fandom and attendance of this historic moment in White Sox history, the team already has a graphic installation at Rate Field in the section where Pope Leo sat during that World Series game all those years ago, per CHSN. How cool is that?

The next time you're at a White Sox game, be sure to check this really cool commemoration out.
