When the Los Angeles Lakers won eight straight games and 20 out of 24 games in February and early March, they got the job done chiefly with defense. But on Saturday, they finally started to truly tap into their vast potential on offense.
Playing against the Memphis Grizzlies, a feisty team that is one of the NBA's best on offense, the Lakers put up 134 points and shot 50.6% from the field and 44.2% from 3-point range in a seven-point win. It was a win they badly needed, as it gave them a bit of a cushion in the Western Conference.
