Round One to the Longhorns.
The Oklahoma baseball team knew at this point of the season the odds of hosting a Norman Regional for the NCAA Tournament were long. After Thursday's Game One of the final Southeastern Conference regular-season series of the year, the odds are practically nil.
OU dropped the opener of the set to their arch-rival, 7-4. The loss sent the Sooners into a tie for 13th in the 16-team SEC. Should Oklahoma finish there, it would have to win five games in next week's SEC Tournament to capture the championship.
