Texas A&M (27-24, 10-18 SEC) started well against No. 10 Georgia during Game 1 on Thursday night, as star outfielder Caden Sorrell hit his 15th home run of the season, bringing in three runs to take an early 3-0 lead in the first. However, starting pitcher Ryan Prager was not on his game, as the Bulldogs hit a solo homer in the bottom of the first and second, which was the start of a ten-run game for the home team.

The Aggies' struggles continued at the plate and on the mound, and even though Wyatt Henseler hit a solo home run in the third, Texas A&M would only muster two more runs last in the game, while Georgia's offense exploded in the bottom of the third with seven runs, four of which were allowed by Ryan Prager, who was pulled after the Bulldogs took a 6-4 lead.
