Team MVP, pending free agent Le’Veon Bell wants to stay a Steeler

Le’Veon Bell's teammates showed him some love Wednesday, voting him as their MVP for the second time in three seasons.

Turns out the feeling is mutual.

“Obviously, I want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler," the pending free agent told reporters Wednesday. "So obviously we’re going to try to do everything it takes to make that happen.”

Because the Steelers chose not to negotiate an extension before the season, Bell is in the final year of his rookie contract. He would become an unrestricted free agent in March if he's not re-signed or hit with the franchise tag, which this season would've paid him just less than $12 million and likely will rise in 2017.
