On Monday, Stonehill College announced that Pat Boen was retiring as coach of the baseball team.

Boen, a 1989 Stonehill graduate, coached the Skyhawks for 28 years and spearheaded a recent transition to Division I. Boen compiled a record of 666-588-4, which is the most wins and games coached in program history.

"Pat is synonymous with Stonehill, and we are fortunate to have had his leadership as he guided our baseball program to new heights, and he leaves behind a rock-solid foundation that will allow Stonehill baseball to continue to do great things in the future," said Stonehill athletic director Dean O'Keefe in a press release.
