Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones discussed the nature of the team's contract negotiations with running back Ezekiel Elliott on Wednesday.
Appearing on The Rich Eisen Show, Jones said the Cowboys speak "very rarely" with Elliott's representatives (beginning at the 42-second mark):
"There's this perception out there about negotiations that there's these ongoing talks that go on hours at a time, and that's just not the case. You kind of set the boundaries of where you think it should be, and certainly they're all represented by very sharp people and they're trying to do the best for their client.
