Stephen Curry’s Odd Line, Six 3s and No 2s, Shows a Shift in the Game

Stephen Curry is the N.B.A.’s most valuable player, but there was one thing he could not do on Wednesday night: make a 2-point shot.

Curry was 0 for 3 from short range, but made up for it with six 3-pointers to score 18 points as the Golden State Warriors took a three-games-to-two lead over the Memphis Grizzlies with a 98-78 victory.

Curry was also a part of the strong Warriors defensive performance, picking up six steals. He became the first player with six steals and six 3s in a playoff game. That feat has been accomplished only four times in the regular season, most recently by James Harden of the Houston Rockets last season, according to statistics from basketball-reference.
