The Warriors came away with the biggest free agent prize of the summer in four-time scoring champion Kevin Durant.
They’ll have to do the same thing next year when Steph Curry’s contract expires. However, Golden State's front office can sleep easy. The two-time MVP and 2017 free-agent-to-be said, as of right now, he anticipates re-signing with the only NBA team he’s ever known.
"I want to be back here. I like playing here, and that's it," Curry told reporters Tuesday, via ESPN.com.
Curry is currently making $12 million a year — far from chump change — but also far from being the highest-paid player on his own team, as Durant will more than double his salary this season.
