Instead of roasting the Pittsburgh Steelers for trading a future first-round pick for defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick when Ben Roethlisberger is out for the year and their season is circling the drain, let's look at matters from their perspective:
- The Steelers have been legitimate Super Bowl contenders for most of the last 25 years. During that quarter-century, they've rebuilt on the fly, bounced back quickly from bad seasons and reached the Super Bowl with Neil O'Donnell at quarterback.
- They just lived through the Antonio Brown experience, which mounting evidence suggests has an impact similar to one of the lesser biblical plagues.
