Ladarius Green will prolong his stint on the sidelines before making his Pittsburgh debut.
The Steelers announced Tuesday they have placed the talented tight end on the physically unable to perform list to start the season.
Green won't be eligible to return until after Week 6, so the earliest he can play will be the Steelers' Week 7 matchup against the New England Patriots at Heinz Field.
The move comes as no surprise, as Green has been unable to participate in workouts while he rehabilitates his surgically repaired ankle. He underwent an offseason procedure to repair damage that hindered him throughout much of last season with the Chargers.
