The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Friday that they have submitted a bid to host the NFL draft in either 2026 or 2027.
Since the draft is already set to take place in Detroit in 2024 and Green Bay in 2025, the 2026 NFL draft is the earliest Pittsburgh would be able to serve as host.
From 1965 through 2014, the draft was held in New York City every year, but the NFL has gone the way of the NHL in recent years in terms of allowing NFL cities to bid for the opportunity to put on the event.
