Stanley Cup playoffs 2016: Henrik Lundqvist jabbed in eye, gives up goal, exits game

Henrik Lundqvist couldn't have seen this coming.

The Rangers goalie was forced from his team's Stanley Cup playoff opener against the Penguins on Wednesday after teammate Marc Staal's stick caught him in the right eye.

After getting checked out for a few minutes, Lundqvist returned to the ice. It didn't take long for the jab to have an effect on his play, however.

He was replaced by backup Antti Raanta to start the second period.
