Lewis Stakes by one and a half lengths at Santa Anita in Arcadia, Calif., reinforcing his status as the top 3-year-old in the barn of the Triple Crown-winning trainer Bob Baffert. Ridden by Gary Stevens, the horse ran one and one-sixteenth miles in 1 minute 43.21 seconds as the 3-5 favorite in the field of six. Mor Spirit moved into second in the standings that determine the 20-horse starting field for the Kentucky Derby on May 7.
