Southern California redshirt freshman Sam Darnold outdueled Washington Heisman hopeful Jake Browning and the Trojans defense put a choke chain on the Huskies' prolific rushing attack, doubling up the previously unbeaten and fourth-ranked Huskies 26-13 in Seattle on Saturday.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Darnold was impressive, showing the poise and confidence of a much more experienced quarterback to complete 23 of 33 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns, slicing up Washington's vaunted pass defense.
