Tiger Woods' highly anticipated return to competitive golf will be delayed as he will withdraw from this week's Safeway Open in Napa, Calif., a source told ESPN's Bob Harig.
The move was first reported by the Golf Channel.
Woods committed to the event last week. HE has not played since the 2015 Wyndham Championship, enduring a slow recovery and rehabilitation from two back surgeries in September and again in October of 2015.
