A commonly asked question among college students is, "What is your major?" While the answer to this question varies, there are some majors that are popular among college athletes.
A report by USA today a few years ago showed in Division I universities many athletes are "clustered" into a particular major, meaning that a higher-than-normal number of student athletes are in the same major. While this may raise concerns similar to the academic fraud scandal that occurred at the University of North Carolina, in some cases there are legitimate reasons for many athletes to choose similar majors.
