See the touching tributes to Arnold Palmer at the U.S. Open

57 years ago at Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado, Arnold Palmer won his first and only U.S. Open by two strokes over a young Jack Nicklaus, who was competing as an amateur.

On Sunday at Erin Hills, Palmer's presence will be felt around the grounds during the first U.S. Open since his death at the age of 87. The flag on the 18th green features a silhouette of Palmer's celebration at the 1960 U.S. Open, and fans also received pins commemorating his victory.
