Cam Newton’s New England Patriots were game on Sunday.
But Russell Wilson’s Seattle Seahawks simply had too much firepower in a fireworks-laden, 35-30 win. Seattle’s offense was elite and its defense good enough on a last-second goal-line stop of Newton to secure the win.
Wilson’s night got off to a rough start, as he threw a pick six to Devin McCourty on the opening drive to set up the Patriots with a 7-0 lead. But from that point on, he was nearly flawless in an aerial clinic that the Patriots had no answer for.
