The Seattle Seahawks arguably had the craziest offseason of any team in the NFL. Sweeping change was initiated by GM John Schneider and head coach Mike Macdonald. At the forefront of the offseason was the decision to trade Geno Smith and DK Metcalf. They were essentially replaced by Sam Darnold and Cooper Kupp. Elsewhere, offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak was hired to replace Ryan Grubb.
The Seahawks also brought in a veteran pass rusher in DeMarcus Lawrence, and also acquired two additional quarterbacks in Drew Lock (free agency) and Jalen Milroe (draft).
