Professional wrestler Sabu, best known for competing in hardcore matches and former champion in ECW and NWA, died at the age of 60. His cause of death has not been reported.
Sabu, whose real name was Terry Brunk, typically performed in dangerous styles of matches such as barbed wire battles that often included the use of weapons and foreign objects including baseball bats, chairs, tables, ladders, thumbtacks and glass. Billed as being from Saudi Arabia, he was promoted as "The Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death–Defying Maniac."
Brunk was the nephew of wrestling legend The Sheik (Ed Farhat) and began his career in 1985 wrestling for independent circuits throughout North America until moving to Japan and making a name for himself in promotions including New Japan Pro Wrestling.
