Before their 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, players posed for pictures, many of them selfies, with season-ticket-holding fans.
This gave the players, perhaps, the opportunity to look at themselves and ponder their erratic season. They started it by losing six of their first nine games, then winning 18 of their next 24, before losing 10 of 11.
Now, though, it seems the winning has returned: The Yankees have won six straight for the first time since July 2013 and completed their second straight three-game sweep.
