Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson says that he "understands" where Colin Kaepernick is coming from in his national anthem sit-down stance, but explaining why he stands for the anthem.
While other quarterbacks such as the Pittsburgh Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger and New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees have criticized Kaepernick, Wilson didn't go that far, but did state his case for why he didn't follow suit.
"I love the flag. I love the national anthem," Wilson said via KCPQ. "I think about my family members who have served ... [That's] why I stand and put my hand on my heart.
