Manchester City target Holger Badstuber has been told to reject the advances of Pep Guardiola and join Hamburg instead, according to Sport Bild.
The Bayern Munich defender is expected to leave the Allianz Arena this month and is available for as little as £3 million, leading to interest from the City boss who worked with him in Bavaria.
However, Bundesliga rivals Hamburg are ready to fight for the 27-year-old centre-half and have told him to snub the Premier League in favour of staying in Germany.
