Roundup: Xander Bogaerts Looks Like an All-Star in Leading Red Sox to Win

Xander Bogaerts drove in three runs with a bases-loaded single in the seventh inning, bolstering his case for a spot in the All-Star Game and leading host Boston past Miami, 4-3.

Bogaerts, one of five candidates for the final opening on the American League team, went 2 for 4 to raise his batting average to .304.

Wade Miley struck out nine, and Travis Shaw picked up his first three major league hits, including a one-out single to start the Red Sox’ comeback in the seventh.

Junichi Tazawa picked up the win with one and a third innings of scoreless relief, and Koji Uehara pitched a perfect ninth for his 20th save.
