Roundup: Leicester, Which Fought Relegation Last Season, Is Atop the Premier League

After occupying a relegation spot for most of last season, Leicester could be spending more time at the other end of the Premier League standings this time around.

A 2-1 win at West Ham on Saturday gave Leicester a second straight victory to open the season and moved the team to first place, above Manchester United on goal difference.

The Japanese striker Shinji Okazaki scored his first league goal for Leicester in the 27th minute, and the winger Riyad Mahrez Mahrez doubled Leicester’s lead in the 38th minute with his third goal this season. Leicester has six goals in two games after a 4-2 win over Sunderland.
