Roundup: Late Header Lifts United to First Win in 4 Games

Marouane Fellaini headed in a late winner as Manchester United beat Crystal Palace, 2-1, on Saturday in the English Premier League and moved closer to a return to the Champions League.

United will clinch a top-four finish on Sunday if Liverpool loses to Chelsea, which secured the league title last week.

Fellaini nodded in a cross by Ashley Young in the 78th minute, helping United end a run of three straight losses. After Juan Mata’s 19th-minute penalty for United, Jason Puncheon leveled the score with a curling free kick in the 57th.

United is 7 points ahead of fifth-place Liverpool, which has three games left.
