Rookie sensation (rib) still out of Red Sox lineup; Romy Gonzalez at 1B

BOSTON — Kristian Campbell missed the Red Sox’ last two games with rib discomfort. On Saturday, despite being expected to return, he’ll miss a third.

After a three-hit night Friday, David Hamilton is starting at second base for the third straight game as Campbell, who is still expected to avoid the injured list, fully recovers. Hamilton is hitting seventh for the Red Sox against righty Bailey Ober.

“He swung the bat today, feeling better,” manager Alex Cora said about Campbell. “Most likely, he’ll play tomorrow.”

With Triston Casas out with a left patellar tendon rupture in his knee, Boston will turn to Romy Gonzalez at first base.
