Roll calls, homers and bat flips: 9 Oswaldo Cabrera moments with Yankees we won’t forget

It was a sight no Yankees player − or any player for that matter − ever wants to see.

Oswaldo Cabrera suffered a devastating left ankle injury during Monday night’s ninth inning in Seattle against the Mariners.

Scoring from third base on an Aaron Judge sacrifice fly to right field, Cabrera twisted to avoid the tag from Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh, his momentum carrying him past the plate.

Cabrera reached back to touch home plate safely, then slammed the ground in pain and was attended to by Yankees head athletic trainer Tim Lentych, as several concerned teammates - led by Judge - knelt or stood near home plate.
