Roger Goodell: I would encourage son to play football

Roger Goodell doesn't have a son. But if he did, he'd want him to play football.

Despite the growing controversy surrounding the sport and more diagnosed cases of CTE, the NFL commissioner said he would "encourage" his son to play the sport.

“I would not only want him to play football, I would certainly encourage him to do it and I would let him do it,” Goodell said on ABC's Good Morning America. “There is risk involved in anything in life but what we need to do is to make sure we show people how to get the most out of playing sports and do it safely.
