The Iron Lady now has an Olympic gold medal to her name after an unbelievable performance in the 400-meter individual medley.
After swimming the second-fastest time ever in the event during Saturday's preliminary heats, Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszu destroyed the world record in finals en route to her first Olympic medal.

Hosszu went wire-to-wire for the win, splitting 3.34 seconds under the record pace at the halfway mark and 5.25 seconds under entering the final freestyle leg. Hosszu finished with a time of 4 minutes, 26.
