Buffalo Bills guard Richie Incognito asked the team to release him Saturday after announcing his retirement earlier in the week.
Incognito tweeted the following to the Bills:

On April 10, Incognito told Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News that he was retiring from football due to health issues: "I'm, done. That's it. It's been a long career. Went to the doctor. My liver and kidneys are shutting down.
