The acquisition of Tyreek Hill and Cedrick Wilson made DeVante Parker expendable in Miami.
Now the former first-round pick is headed to a division rival. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Dolphins are trading Parker and a fifth-round pick in the upcoming draft to the New England Patriots. Miami receives a third-round pick in 2023 in return.
With the trade, the Dolphins will now have five picks in the first three rounds of next year's draft — two firsts, one second and two thirds. Parker, 29, has two seasons and no guaranteed money remaining on a four-year, $30.
