The Toronto Raptors have reached an agreement to sign free agent center Aron Baynes to a two-year, $14.3 million contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Baynes is a similar style of player as compared to the outgoing Marc Gasol, who signed on with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 33-year-old Australian is coming off a career year in which he averaged 11.5 points. 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists while being a defensively stout reserve for the Phoenix Suns.
More to come.
