This could reportedly be a precursor for his retirement announcement, per ESPN's Mike Reiss. A decision from Edelman is likely to come sooner rather than later.
In 2020, Edelman appeared in only six games and had 21 receptions for 315 yards and no touchdowns. He underwent minor knee surgery and was placed on the injured reserve list in October and was never activated again.
